In 2002 Andrew Ede and Danny Godfrey founded eg technology, an engineering design company, in the loft of Danny’s Cambridge home. Fifteen years later, they are celebrating running a thriving business, situated in a large barn conversion on the outskirts of Cambridge, which employs a team of 23 engineers and business professionals.
Andrew Ede said “Rather than look for investment to accelerate the growth of eg technology, Danny and I wanted to grow the business steadily and organically to preserve the sense of community within the company that we consider to be very important. We focus on recruiting the right people, creating a calm and productive work environment and providing excellent working conditions to ensure our staff feel valued and supported.”
Danny Godfrey said “Our clients tell us that they truly enjoy the experience of working with us and this is demonstrated by lots of repeat work coming in from our customers. Our staff are highly skilled and the collective knowledge and experience we have is amazing. It’s our job to combine innovation and development with approaches that we know will turn our clients’ ideas into marketable products.”
The recent move to Farfield House was planned with continued expansion in mind and Danny and Andrew are looking forward to another successful period of growth.
