AlertMe is a Cambridge based company offering an intelligent home security and energy saving service. Their service allows a homeowner to be kept informed of the status of their house via the web and their mobile phone. This innovative service is implemented with a multi-component kit that is easy and intuitive to install and use.

The Challenge

AlertMe is continually expanding its product range and service offerings to improve the security and energy monitoring experiences for its customers. The ongoing development of AlertMe's capabilities means that new products need to be specified, developed and brought to market quickly and in high volumes. New products are designed to be in keeping with the existing styling identity, to meet the demands of the consumer electronics environment and so that they can be manufactured without complication and reliably in high volume.

Approach

eg technology work closely with the AlertMe team to explore and develop the industrial, electronic, hardware and mechanical designs, before transferring data for manufacture with reliable third parties in the Far East.

The Result

eg technology has developed over ten products in the AlertMe range along with associated packaging and are continuing to develop new products and technology together with AlertMe.
