We understand that product development is complex and creating a streamlined route to market can raise more questions than answers…so, we have identified some of the questions that we often come across when talking to innovators and listed them below. Do eg technology retain the intellectual property?
NO! We work differently from many other product development consultancies, which retain IP and issue new licences for their clients. When our clients appoint us to manage their product development, they keep their IP in its entirety.
Do I need usability engineering in my development programme?
Yes – we would recommend integrating usability into your product development programme. The earlier you integrate the user into your programme the better as it will help to identify issues and mitigate risks. We are experts at usability engineering, user-centred design and human factors, but can also integrate external usability studies into our developments. Collaboration is key!
Do you manufacture?
Our ISO accreditation allows us to manufacture small volume prototypes, however, we can support with transfer to manufacture and have an established network of manufacturing partners that our clients have access to. You can then choose the best manufacturer for your project or alternatively we can work with your preferred manufacturing partner. By remaining agnostic in terms of manufacturing partnerships, we can offer our clients the best solution for them.
How do you work with your clients?
Collaboratively. We scope out a programme of work based on your requirements. This could be the full integrated development programme or only aspects that you need support with. You will be assigned your own project manager, who will guide you through the process and ensure deliverables are met, on time and within budget. We follow a phased approach starting with confirming requirements, addressing high-risk areas of the development, followed by design and prototyping phases. Everything we do is tailored to each client and their individual project. This includes the price. We understand that budgets often dictate a project, so we will work with you to understand your budget and give you a realistic estimate. We believe in giving our clients the full picture and providing transparency throughout.
